{"id":30366,"date":"2019-09-06T15:29:14","date_gmt":"2019-09-06T21:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/?p=59935"},"modified":"2019-09-12T08:54:32","modified_gmt":"2019-09-12T14:54:32","slug":"and-so-it-begins-first-snow-of-season-falls-on-grand-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kift\/local-news\/and-so-it-begins-first-snow-of-season-falls-on-grand-county\/","title":{"rendered":"And so it begins: First snow of season falls on Grand County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WINTER PARK \u2014 Friday wasn\u2019t exactly a powder day in Grand<br \/>\nCounty, but the first snowfall of the season hit some of the peaks along the<br \/>\nContinental Divide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Divide is looking beautiful and white,\u201d a spokeswoman at Winter Park Resort commented as she noted the fresh snowfall didn\u2019t go under the resort&#8217;s radar and shared a few photos.<\/p>\n<p>The spokeswoman added that Winter Park Resort was seeing storm activity on the mountain on Friday with mixed precipitation. And with new snow on the mountains, the people at Winter Park Resort weren\u2019t the only ones who took note.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did notice it too,\u201d said Ryan Mowrey, who works as the rental manager in his family\u2019s ski shop, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Epic Mountain Sports (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.epicmountainsports.com\/about-us\" target=\"_blank\">Epic Mountain Sports<\/a>. \u201cWe all ran outside and took pictures.
