The Fraser Winter Park Police Department honored the work and dedication of one of its officers with a Tuesday promotion ceremony.<\/p>\n
At the Winter Park Town Council meeting, officer Matt Murdoch was promoted to sergeant, which Chief Glen Trainor called one of the toughest jobs in law enforcement. However, Trainor expressed his confidence in Murdoch’s ability to be a great sergeant.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an incredibly tough job and Matt has certainly paid his dues, so tonight we\u2019re very honored to make him a sergeant,\u201d Trainor said. \u201cI\u2019m proud of you.\u201d<\/p>\n
Murdoch joined the department in 2012. Since then, Trainor said he has seen a tremendous amount of growth from Murdoch.<\/p>\n
Upon receiving his promotion, Murdoch said he was grateful to work in the community and for the support of his family and fellow officers.<\/p>\n
