The Cleo Parker Robinson Dance
\nCompany is coming to Grand County next month to visit elementary schools, teach
\na free master class to community members and perform in Grand Lake.<\/p>\n
With the help of the Denver Ballet
\nGuild and fundraising by the community, the Denver-based dance company will
\nshare its passion for dance with Grand County.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we designed this program, we designed it for everyone to experience,\u201d said Susan Struna, vice president of in-school programs at the Denver Ballet Guild. \u201cThis is something people requested and something we delivered. We\u2019re just very excited to provide it.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Oct. 10, the company plans to
\nvisit Granby Elementary and Fraser Valley Elementary to put on a program for
\nstudents. <\/p>\n
The company will present a free
\nmaster class for all skill levels at 10 a.m. Oct. 11 at the Grand Lake Center
\nfor ages 10 to adult. That evening, Squeaky B\u2019s restaurant will be hosting the
\ncompany for dinner and the community is invited to meet the dancers.<\/p>\n
The performance by the company will
\nbe at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Grand Lake Center. Tickets are $30 for adults and
\n$15 for students. Buy them at Grand Mountain Banks in Granby, Fraser and Grand
\nLake and at the Cascades of the Rockies Book Store in Grand Lake.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s taken a lot of wonderful
\ncollaboration to pull this off,\u201d Struna said. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be an amazing,
\namazing event.\u201d<\/p>\n
The dance company is a nonprofit
\norganization based out of Denver that visits communities around the world with
