Tuesday’s public hearing for a proposed marijuana dispensary outside Granby has been postponed.<\/p>\n
Originally scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, the hearing for IgadI’s application to open a new retail marijuana store in Grand County has been removed from the county commissioners\u2019 agenda. <\/p>\n
David Michel, general counsel for IgadI, said the company has not withdrawn its application, and he expects the hearing to be rescheduled. A new date has not yet been determined.<\/p>\n
Prior to the postponed hearing, a number of Granby residents have already voiced their support and their opposition to the proposed dispensary.<\/p>\n
The Granby Board of Trustees also sent the county commissioners a letter expressing the board’s opposition while requesting the county deny IgadI’s application.<\/p>\n
The application would put the proposed dispensary at 843 W. Agate Ave., which is not actually within town limits, so the county has jurisdiction over the application.<\/p>\n
If approved, the store would be IgadI’s second location in Grand County with the first store in Tabernash.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
