{"id":38632,"date":"2020-01-05T11:22:52","date_gmt":"2020-01-05T18:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skyhinews.com\/?p=62410"},"modified":"2020-01-05T11:22:52","modified_gmt":"2020-01-05T18:22:52","slug":"pedestrian-injured-in-car-crash-on-new-years-eve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kift\/local-news\/pedestrian-injured-in-car-crash-on-new-years-eve\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian injured in car crash on New Year\u2019s Eve"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police cited a Fraser woman for careless driving causing injury after she hit a wheelchair user crossing the sidewalk in Winter Park.<\/p>\n<p>At around 6 p.m. on New Year&#8217;s Eve, a pedestrian in a wheelchair and another person were crossing Main Street at Telemark Drive when a brown Acura stopped in the right-hand lane proceeded into the intersection, colliding with the pedestrian in the wheelchair, Fraser Winter Park Police said.<\/p>\n<p>According to witnesses, the pedestrians were unable to make it to the other side of the street before the signal on Main Street turned green.<\/p>\n<p>The collision caused the pedestrian, a 34-year-old man from Thousand Oaks, California, to be ejected from his wheelchair and suffer a hip injury. The wheelchair was also damaged.<\/p>\n<p>The pedestrian was transported to Middle Park Health &#8211; Granby and treated for minor injuries, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Acura, a 34-year-old Fraser woman, received a summons in the Grand County Court for careless driving.
