Williams (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm5463103\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ashley A. Williams<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Vernon Davis (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm2265681\/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1\" target=\"_blank\">Vernon Davis<\/a>, who go on a snowmobile trip near Grand Lake to rekindle their relationship. During the tour, they witness the murder of their snowmobile guide and must fight to stay alive in a brutal landscape.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWrong place, wrong time,\u201d <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Director Steven C. Pitts (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm5103739\/\" target=\"_blank\">Director Steven C. Pitts<\/a> said of the plot as the crew prepared for filming Tuesday. \u201cIt\u2019s basically a survival story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The film, called \u201cRed Winter,\u201d is being shot in Grand Lake for the next two weeks before wrapping up in Denver. The movie is being filmed near the Winding River Resort and On The Trail Rentals.<\/p>\n<p>The choice of location was a simple one for Pitts and his crew.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s gorgeous out here and we needed snowmobiles,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s the Snowmobile Capital of Colorado, isn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the crew has not yet determined how the movie will be distributed, Pitts hopes for it to be released by next winter. It might also feature a couple local faces as extras in the movie.<\/p>\n<p>Pitts has previously worked on films including &#8220;First Man&#8221; starring Ryan Gosling and the horror movie &#8220;Lycan.&#8221; Williams played a main character in the TV show \u201cBlack Boots\u201d and Davis had a minor role in 2017\u2019s \u201cBaywatch.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A thriller about snowmobiles and survival is being filmed in Grand Lake.
