Beginning on Monday through Saturday, Feb. 2, daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one lane of the 27th Street Bridge will be closed and traffic will be in an alternating one-way configuration, according to the city of Glenwood Springs weekly “Cone Zone” report.<\/p>\n

Delays are to be anticipated, and motorists are advised to plan extra travel time through the area. Construction work will also be weather dependent.<\/p>\n

Throughout the week, motorists should also expect intermittent holds on South Grand Avenue for trucks entering and exiting the work area.<\/p>\n

Pedestrians and other trail users should also expect intermittent holds and delays on Atkinson Trail near the current bridge. “Trail users should follow flagger instructions and detour signs or use an alternate route,” according to the city update.<\/p>\n

Community Info Meeting Feb. 5<\/p>\n

The public is invited to a community information meeting regarding the 27th Street project at the Glenwood Community Center from 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 5. There will be a short presentation at 6 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session.<\/p>\n
