Pittman scored 8 points in the third quarter to help the Cardinals create just enough breathing room in the win. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The Rams found themselves tied at the half at 21-21, but Roaring Fork was outscored 16-8 in the third quarter, proving to be too big of a deficit to overcome. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Senior center Gaby Santana and sophomore guard Maya Lindgren led the Rams with 12 points each in the back-and-forth battle. Santana scored 8 points in the second quarter and Lindgren scored 6 points in the third to pace the Rams offense. Along with Santana and Lindgren, senior guard Logan Erickson scored 9 points \u2014 hitting three 3-pointers, while senior Kendall Bernot added 6 points, all of which came in the fourth quarter. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Roaring Fork closes the season with an overall record of 11-8, including 4-5 in the 3A WSL. Grand Valley finishes 15-4 on the year with a mark of 6-3 in league play. Both teams now await the official bracket for the 3A district tournament next week. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">GIRLS BASKETBALL<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">Moffat County 46, Coal Ridge 31<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The Coal Ridge Titans girls basketball team got off to a slow start Thursday night on Senior Night against the Moffat County Bulldogs in New Castle and couldn&#8217;t quite recover from an early deficit, dropping a 46-31 decision in the regular season finale. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Against the Bulldogs, the Titans 18-5 after one quarter of play and 32-13 at the half before clamping down on the Bulldogs in the second half, attempting a fourth-quarter rally that came up short. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Halle Hamilton led the Bulldogs with 13 points on the night, pumping in 10 points in the second quarter with a pair of 3-pointers. Along with Hamilton, Tiffany Hildebrandt added 10 points, while Jaidyn Steele added 7 points. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">For Coal Ridge, sophomore center Taylor Wiescamp led the way with 13 points, scoring 8 points in the fourth-quarter rally. Senior guard Alyssa Wenzel added 7 points in what is likely her final home game, while junior Taylor Roberts added 5 points off the bench. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Coal Ridge closes the regular season with an overall record of 10-8, including 4-5 in the 3A WSL. The Titans await their matchup in the 3A district tournament on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\"\/>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">BOYS BASKETBALL<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">Roaring Fork 46, Grand Valley 40<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Taking on the Grand Valley Cardinals in Carbondale Thursday night on Senior Night, the Roaring Fork Rams boys basketball team saw senior forward Joe Salinas pour in 23 points to lead the Rams to a big 46-40 win over the visiting Cardinals. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Salinas paced himself on the night, scoring 5 points in the first and second quarters, 6 points in the third quarter, and 7 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Rams to the win. Along with Salinas, senior Aidan Sloan added 14 points, scoring 5 in the first quarter and 6 points in the third quarter to provide the Rams with a secondary scoring option on the night. Senior guard Leo Loya added 7 points, and sophomore guard Graham Pietch added 2 points as the Rams saw just four players score. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">For Grand Valley, freshman guard Emilio Garcia led the way with 16 points, hitting four 3-pointers on the night. Senior guard Wade Wiese added 10 points, hitting two 3-pointers, while junior Alex Cornejo added 9 points in the loss. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Roaring Fork closes the regular season with a record of 12-7, including 8-2 in the 3A Western Slope League, good for second place. Grand Valley finishes 12-8 (6-4 3A WSL) on the season. Both teams await their matchups on Tuesday in the 3A district tournament. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\"\/>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">Coal Ridge 78, Moffat County 57<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Senior center Kevin DiMarco went out with a bang on Senior Night for the Titans, tying the program&#8217;s all-time record for points in a regulation game with 33 against the visiting Moffat County Bulldogs Thursday night in New Castle. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">DiMarco, much like the rest of the Titans, started slow with just 4 first-quarter points, but the 6-foot-7 center exploded for 12 points in the second quarter, and 12 points in the fourth quarter, finishing with a career-high 33 points in the 21-point win.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Along with DiMarco&#8217;s big night, the Titans saw three players finish with 9 points each as seniors Payton White, Kevyn Flores, and Jesus Camunez all chipped into the win with 9 points. Junior guard Austin Gerber added 6 points on two 3-pointers, while senior guard Aaron Arreola added 5 points. <\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Coal Ridge closes the regular season with a 16-3 record, including 7-3 in 3A WSL play.
