The closure of the Arapaho Cafe is just the first domino toward the end of the low-key, residential Dillon we have learned to love.
With a majority of the Dillon Town Council being pro-development, the efforts of Mayor Carolyn Skowyra (who is term-limited at the next election) to control developers will be only a delaying action at best.
Residents, if you want to stop or at least slow this process, then become candidates for election to the council at the next election to unseat the pro-development council members. It is very easy to get on the ballot (needing only a few dozen signatures), so don’t just express concern, take matters into your own hands.
