The SpringFree Bluegrass Festival is set for Vail May 24-26, 2024, Resort Entertainment Group announced earlier this month.
“With FreeFall Bluegrass Festival being a huge hit with locals and tourists alike Resort Entertainment Group is bringing free bluegrass back to Eagle County to celebrate spring in the mountains,” a press release from the event organizer reads.
The release adds that the lineup will be announced at a later date.
“Vail in late May is a wonderful time to be in our gorgeous community. People are ready to enjoy the warmer days and spring free of the dark of winter. Because Freefall Bluegrass Festival was a huge success we were asked by local business, lodging partners and attendees alike to bring back the good times in spring. The bands raved about their experiences as did the attendees,” said Diane Moudy of Resort Entertainment Group.
An event for the whole family, the festival starts at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, and attendees are encouraged to bring the kiddos along to play along with the Rock and Roll Playhouse. Founded in 2014 by independent concert promoter Peter Shapiro and educator Amy Striem, The Rock and Roll Playhouse is the largest national kid-friendly live concert series having performed to hundreds of thousands of kids and their families. It has hosted over 1,000 shows in more than 35 leading live music venues across the United States, filling the void for shared musical experiences between parents and children across the country. Performing songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history, The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children aged 1-7, games, movement, stories and most importantly an opportunity to rock out. It allows parents to enjoy the music they love while little fans are encouraged to explore their creativity and have fun. This kid-centered concert allows parents and their little ones to dance and enjoy music in a fun and playful way.
Admission is free to all attendees. Music starts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rock and Roll Playhouse starts at 11 a.m. with main stage music starting at 12 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Music goes until 7:30pm each night.
