The song, and Rose himself in cartoon form, appear in an episode of <em>New Looney Tunes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The episode, titled \u201cArmageddon Outta Here, Part Two,\u201d previously broadcasted in late-December, but Boomerang, the network that airs the animated series, confirmed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/guns-n-roses\/\">Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/a> singer\u2019s involvement Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRock the Rock\u201d \u2013 which sounds more like Rose\u2019s side project AC\/DC than Guns N\u2019 Roses \u2013 finds the singer and the Looney Tunes gang forming a band that rocks loud enough to sonically pulverize an approaching asteroid, hence the song\u2019s title.<\/p>\n<p>The track marks Rose\u2019s first new song since Guns N\u2019 Roses released their long-delayed <em>Chinese Democracy<\/em> in November 2008. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blabbermouth.net\/news\/axl-rose-releases-official-video-for-first-new-song-in-10-years-rock-the-rock\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">According to Blabbermouth<\/a>, Rose did not write \u201cRock the Rock\u201d; Rob Janas and Joshua Funk, the latter a composer on <em>New Looney Tunes<\/em>, are credited on BMI with penning the song. It\u2019s unclear whether any of Rose\u2019s GN\u2019R band mates perform on the track.<\/p>\n<p>Guns N\u2019 Roses concluded their two-year Not in This Lifetime Tour on December 8th; the trek featured the <em>Looney Tunes<\/em> theme as its opening music each show. In recent weeks, guitarist Richard Fortus has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loudersound.com\/news\/richard-fortus-guns-n-roses-album-coming-faster-than-you-think\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">hinted<\/a> that the reunited band could release new music \u201cfaster than you think.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to try and do another record and get it out soon,\u201d Fortus said in a radio interview.
