Facing no new competition for the top spot, the Atlanta rapper\u2019s <em>I Am &gt; I Was<\/em> spent a second consecutive week at Number One.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/21-savage-releases-i-am-i-was-772024\/\">all-star<\/a> <em>I Am &gt; I Was<\/em> sold 65,000 total copies in its second week of release \u2013 down 51 percent from its debut week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/8492319\/21-savage-no-1-on-billboard-200-i-am-i-was\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Billboard<\/em> reports<\/a> \u2013 but a complete lack of impactful new releases helped 21 Savage remain at Number One.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the now-departing Christmas season, no new albums debuted in this week\u2019s Top 10. Instead, the top tier was packed with many of the albums that dominated the Billboard 200 in 2018, including Post Malone\u2019s <em>Beerbongs &amp; Bentleys<\/em> (Number Four), Drake\u2019s <em>Scorpion<\/em> (Number Six), Travis Scott\u2019s <em>Astroworld<\/em> (Number Seven) and the resilient <em>The Greatest Showman<\/em> soundtrack (Number Eight).<\/p>\n<p>A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie\u2019s <em>Hoodie SZN<\/em> spent a second straight week at Number Two, followed by Meek Mill\u2019s <em>Championships<\/em> at Number Three. Two more soundtracks rounded out the Top 10: <em>Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse<\/em> at Number Five and <em>A Star Is Born<\/em> at Number 10.<\/p>\n<p>While the Top 10 lacked excitement to open 2019 \u2013 and will likely remain static next week due to no major new releases \u2013 there was some surprise on the Hot R&amp;B Songs chart as Barack Obama <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/barack-obama-billboard-chart-debut-lin-manuel-miranda-774460\/\">landed at Number 22<\/a> thanks to his appearance on Lin-Manuel Miranda\u2019s \u201cOne Last Time (44 Remix).\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/charts-21-savage-number-one-775484\/\" target=\"_blank\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>21 Savage began 2019 the same way he ended 2018: Atop the Billboard 200.
