If there is any silver lining to \u201cdragon energy\u201d-era\u00a0Kanye West,<\/a>\u00a0it\u2019s that continued to blend gospel, rap and R&B into moving, robust arrangements. On Sunday, West decided to turn a Church service into a mini-concert by adding a choir and gospel elements to recent songs from ye<\/em>, Kids See Ghosts<\/em><\/a> and past hits. Alongside collaborators Kid Cudi<\/a>, Tony Williams and 070 Shake, West performed a medley of hits including \u201cReborn,\u201d \u201cI Wonder\u201d and \u201cFather Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of the most touching moments of the performance was \u201cReborn,\u201d the best song to come out of G.O.O.D Music\u2019s chaotic summer. Backed by a large choir, Cudi\u2019s hook takes on a hypnotic, tribal feel as various voices emulate his distinctive hums. During his Billboard<\/em> cover story<\/a>, the Cleveland singer described \u201cReborn\u201d as the song he used to tell the world he was emotionally stable.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Passion, Pain, I never let the world know that I\u2019m good, because I wasn\u2019t good yet. I was thinking, how can I let the world know? It was great when Kanye wanted to use [the song], because it was perfect for both \u2013 we are both reborn after what we went through,\u201d Cudi said. \u201cI couldn\u2019t have made a song like \u201cReborn\u201d until now, because I didn\u2019t feel reborn yet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
