Lana Del Rey<\/a> released a new song \u201chope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have \u2013\u00a0but I have it.\u201d Throughout the cut, described in a statement as a \u201cfan track,\u201d Del Rey meditates on religion, family, alienation and the myths that surround celebrity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was reading Slim Aarons and I got to thinking that I thought\/Maybe if I\u2019d get less stressed if I was tested less like\/All of these debutantes,\u201d she sings over dramatic piano chords. \u201cSmiling for miles in pink dresses and high heels on white yachts\/But I\u2019m not, baby, I\u2019m not\/No, I\u2019m not that; I\u2019m not.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer recently previewed the song on Instagram. In the post, she noted that her previously teased book of poetry \u2013\u00a0tentatively titled Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass<\/em> \u2013 is due out later in 2019; she also revealed that she will soon announce the cancellation of unspecified upcoming tour dates.<\/p>\n

As of this writing, Del Rey is scheduled to headline the 2019 Buku Music + Art Project, which takes place March 22nd and 23rd in New Orleans, Louisiana; she has several international festival dates booked for June and July.<\/p>\n

Del Rey has yet to announce the release date or full track list for her upcoming sixth LP,\u00a0Norman Fucking Rockwell<\/em>, which follows her 2017 record, Lust for Life<\/em><\/a>. The Jack Antonoff-produced album, due out in mid-2019, is expected to feature two recently issued cuts, \u201cVenice Bitch\u201d<\/a> and \u201cMariners Apartment Complex,\u201d<\/a> along with the live-debuted \u201cHow to Disappear.\u201d<\/a> In October, she teased two songs on Instagram: one titled \u201cSylvia Plath\u201d and another featuring rapper Machine Gun Kelly.<\/p>\n
