R. Kelly<\/a>\u2019s lawyer denied all of the sexual misconduct allegations against the singer and called the Surviving R. Kelly<\/em> docuseries<\/a> \u201cdisgusting\u201d in a new interview Friday.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Associated Press<\/em><\/a>, Kelly\u2019s Chicago-based attorney Steve Greenberg said, \u201cThe allegations aren\u2019t true because he never knowingly had sex with an underage woman, he never forced anyone to do anything, he never held anyone captive, he never abused anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greenberg claimed that Lifetime and the Surviving R. Kelly<\/em> producers told \u201cdisgruntled\u201d women what to say on camera to incriminate the singer. \u201cSome producer went running around and solicited all these people, did a Jerry Springer-esque show and there is all this uproar,\u201d the lawyer said.<\/p>\n

Kelly\u2019s attorney also criticized Cook County State\u2019s Attorney Kim Foxx\u2019s call for more alleged Kelly victims to come forward, saying that Foxx is inviting \u201cwrongful accusations\u201d; according to TMZ<\/a>, an anonymous caller told police Friday that Kelly was holding two women captive at his Chicago apartment. After determining that the women, who TMZ identified as Joycelyn Savage\u00a0and\u00a0Azriel Clary, were there voluntarily, police left without incident.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Greenberg told CBS Chicago<\/a> that there was \u201cno criminal activity\u201d when it came to Kelly, shrugging off the allegations ranging from sexual abuse to reports that the singer held women against their will. \u201cWhy the women do it I can\u2019t tell you,\u201d Greenberg said. \u201cBut none of them complained when the relationship was over. None of them complained until someone came out and found them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greenberg also said that Kelly did not watch Surviving R. Kelly<\/em>. \u201cThe series is trash TV. There\u2019s no reason to watch the series,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
