In a year where <em>Black Panther<\/em> is vying a Best Picture Oscar and <em>Infinity War<\/em> is practically printing money, <em>Spider-Verse<\/em> is still the superior superhero movie of the three. The animated, Miles Morales-starring film has already been thrust into debate as a candidate for the greatest comic book movie of all-time, while it\u2019s still in theaters. And the soundtrack\u2019s most recognizable song \u2014 which is featured heavily in the movie \u2014 is a beneficiary of that momentum.<\/p>\n<p>Now,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/post-malone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Post Malone<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/swae-lee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swae Lee<\/a>\u2018s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/post-malone-swae-lee-sunflower-video-watch-777591\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sunflower<\/a>\u201d is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/chart-beat\/8493336\/post-malone-swae-lee-sunflower-hot-100-number-one\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Number One song in the country<\/a>. After weeks in the <em>Billboard<\/em> Hot 100\u2019s top ten, the bright, sweet and melodic ode to love, sunflowers and other clich\u00e9s dethroned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/halseys-breakup-song-without-me-733023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Halsey\u2019s \u201cWithout Me.\u201d<\/a> \u201cSunflower\u201d also\u00a0<em>technically<\/em> becomes Swae Lee\u2019s first Number One as a solo artist\u00a0 \u2014\u00a0 it\u2019s the second if you count Travis Scott\u2019s \u201cSicko Mode,\u201d though he isn\u2019t officially credited on it.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the star-power, there is a case that the song\u2019s commercial success is largely indebted to its prominence in the movie. The audience is first introduced to Miles Morales as he mumbles his way through Swae Lee\u2019s verse while drawing at his desk. In December,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/swae-lee-rae-sremmurd-hits-2018-767764\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lee described to <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> why his voice is becoming more popular across the pop spectrum: \u201cMy voice is becoming a household voice, something people are familiar with. It always has this feeling of either turn-up or missing someone. That\u2019s what people say about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also described working with Malone on \u201cSunflower.\u201d \u201cWe was in the studio this one night in L.A. just going crazy all night. Cooking up, drinking corkscrews, drinking beers. We made six, seven songs,\u201d Lee continued. \u201cThe Spider-Man people came and heard it and they picked that one.
