A theater and date will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>With a book by Oscar-winner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/diablo-cody\/\" id=\"auto-tag_diablo-cody\" data-tag=\"diablo-cody\">Diablo Cody<\/a>,\u00a0<em>Jagged Little Pill<\/em> weaves together the songs from Morissette\u2019s album of the same name. Cody\u2019s story follows the Healys, a \u201cpicture-perfect suburban family\u201d facing a less-than-perfect world but in and outside of their home. Diane Paulus (<em>Waitress<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Pippin<\/em>) directed the show while Tom Kitt (<em>American Idiot<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Next to Normal<\/em>) composed original orchestrations. Frequent Beyonc\u00e9 collaborator Sidi Larbi Cherkaou choreographed the production.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis process, and what this process has yielded artistically and collaboratively, has been nothing short of a revelation, a balm and an arrival for me,\u201d Morissette said in a statement. \u201cIt is a culmination of so much of what my life\u2019s work has been oriented toward. To work with Diablo Cody, whose heart is as open as her mind is bright and brave, has taken this record \u2013 which has meant so much to me \u2013 to a whole other level of depth, meaning and natural activism. Touching on topics that keep me up at night for how deeply I care about them, Diablo\u2019s at once fierce, sensitive and hilarious voice\u2014and her willingness to stay and deepen the course through this journey of creation has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Jagged Little Pill<\/em>\u00a0has been in the works since 2013 and premiered at Cambridge, MA\u2019s American Repertory Theatre last May where it ran for 79 sold out shows.
