A new video for the track, by director Jules Guerin, pairs the duo\u2019s otherworldly racket with images of deserts and empty buildings all in black and white. Swirls of light distort each image.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo me, listening to Jozef Van Wissem and Jim Jarmusch\u2019s music is definitely an introspective journey made of darkness and light,\u201d Guerin said in a statement. \u201cA hallucinatory exploration generated by the etheric nature of Jozef\u2019s lute and Jim\u2019s textures and feedbacks guides us through the unknown realms of our psyche.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI started visualizing an endless walk in the desert, and at some point, I felt intoxicated by the beauty and lonesomeness of these places \u2026 losing focus \u2026 slowly blinking the eyes and eventually closing them and surrender to the inside light, like in a near-death experience,\u201d he continues. \u201cThe desolation of a ghost town and the infinity of the desert seemed to fit perfectly \u2018The Two Paths\u2019 [in terms of] ambience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The seven-track An <em>Attempt to Draw Aside the Veil<\/em> is due out February 8th. \u201c<em>An Attempt To Draw Aside the Veil<\/em> is another adventure with Jozef into the realm of vibrating strings and the dreamlike musical textures of darkness and light,\u201d Jarmusch said of the album in a statement. \u201cIt was a real pleasure to collaborate with Jozef once again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/jim-jarmusch-jozef-van-wissem-new-video-785801\/\" target=\"_blank\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Filmmaker Jim Jarmusch and composer Jozef Van Wissem build a tapestry of drones, noise, feedback and clanging stringed instruments on \u201cThe Two Paths,\u201d a track off their upcoming collaborative album, An Attempt to Draw Aside the Veil.
