Ned captured the hearts of Twenty One Pilots fans last month, and now we know what it is that Ned represents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Twenty One Pilots<\/strong>\u00a0introduced us to their friend Ned in their video for ‘Chlorine’ last month. Since the video was released two weeks ago the cuddly-looking character has captured the hearts and minds of Pilots fans around the globe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There’s also been a lot of speculation about what (or who) Ned is, and what Ned represents to Twenty One Pilots.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In an interview<\/a> earlier this week Twenty One Pilots frontman Tyler Joseph explained what Ned represents, sharing\u00a0“Ned is a very important person to us. He\u2019s been a friend of ours for a while, we\u2019re now just introducing him to the world and our fans have adopted him and made him their own. That was really cool to see. Ned really does represent a lot of things but specifically, I guess you would say… it really represents this idea of creativity and trying to take care of it and trying to please it, or appease it.”<\/em><\/p>\n

He continued “It\u2019s kinda that thing in you that tells you whether or not something is good. And when you get to the stage we\u2019re at, you realise listening to that becomes more and more important because a lot of people start talking and trying to influence you and the decisions you can make creatively.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Tyler finished by sharing\u00a0“And so… yeah, Ned saved us. We made the record we made because of Ned.”<\/em><\/p>\n
