Ariana Grande<\/a> will not attend this Sunday\u2019s Grammy Awards after the singer reportedly had a disagreement with producers over a potential performance at the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Grande is up for a pair of awards at the 61st annual Grammys\u00a0\u2013 Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener<\/em> and Best Pop Solo Performance for \u201cGod Is a Woman\u201d\u00a0\u2013 though the singer\u2019s shutout in the biggest categories was deemed by Rolling Stone<\/em> as one of this year\u2019s 10 biggest snubs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Grande is nominated for her 2018 work, Variety<\/em> reports<\/a> that the singer wanted to perform her 2019 hit \u201c7 Rings<\/a>\u201d as part of the Grammy ceremony; Grande\u2019s new album Thank U, Next<\/em> is out Friday, two days before the Grammys.<\/p>\n

Producers countered with a medley that featured \u201c7 Rings\u201d and a song of the producers\u2019 choosing. Grande was \u201cinsulted\u201d by the producers\u2019 request and, in addition to not performing at the ceremony, she won\u2019t even attend the Grammys, even though she\u2019s reportedly featured in billboards advertising the event.<\/p>\n

Reps for Grande and the Grammys did not respond to Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s request for comment.<\/p>\n

Grande isn\u2019t the only major star and Best Pop Vocal Album nominee to skip out on Sunday\u2019s ceremony: Taylor Swift<\/a> also won\u2019t be in attendance to find out whether Reputation<\/em> takes home the award in that category. A source confirmed to Rolling Stone<\/em> that because she is filming Cats<\/em>, Swift would not be at the Grammys or BAFTAs, as rumored<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Grande and Swift\u2019s absence continues a recent trend of music\u2019s biggest stars skipping Music\u2019s Biggest Night, including artists like Drake, who snubbed the Grammys \u201cbecause they don\u2019t air the other rap awards on TV,\u201d and Kanye West, who lobbied the ceremony to feature rappers like Future and Young Thug and \u201cnot just me and [Jay-Z] in a suit.\u201d<\/p>\n
