He finds himself in several precarious spots \u2014 fumbling for grip with his feet slipping in the dirt, inching forward with his back against the rocks. Elsewhere, director Matthew Daniel Siskin follows Bird as the multi-instrumentalist rides a bicycle; later, the camera zooms out to show him vigorously pedaling in the bed of a pickup truck.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bird detailed the video\u2019s inspiration in a statement, noting he drew on the acclaimed 1969 film <em>Easy Rider<\/em> film for some scenes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe shot this video after a storm system moved through Los Angeles, and there was a strange mist wisping through the mountains,\u201d Bird said. \u201cI had an acute panic attack as I was standing on the edge of a thousand-foot precipice wearing this giant head mounted on a baseball helmet. The more extreme shots were handled by my stunt double, pro-climber Sterling Taylor \u2026 I wanted the whistle melody to be this glorious wind in your hair rock \u2018n\u2019 roll moment like a scene from\u00a0<em>Easy Rider\u00a0<\/em>thus the Dennis Hopper wig. The idea was to have a whole spin class on a flatbed truck, but I think this captures that sense of futility.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Both \u201cSispyhus\u201d and the previously issued \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YEFLR2JnMd0\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Bloodless<\/a>\u201d appear on Bird\u2019s upcoming LP, <em>My Finest Work Yet<\/em>, out March 22nd.
