In a brand new interview with Rock Antenne<\/a>, Mike Shinoda has opened up about the future of\u00a0Linkin Park<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When asked if there’s a future that involves new music from Linkin Park, Mike shared\u00a0\u201cWe all thrive making and performing music\u2026\u00a0 I know the other guys, they love to be on stage, they love to be in a studio, and so to not do that would be like\u2026 I don\u2019t know, almost like unhealthy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

“As long as that connection and interest is there, I think that is our driving force to figure out Linkin Park.”\u00a0<\/em>he also revealed.<\/p>\n

But if there is a future for Linkin Park, Mike is conscious to not replace Chester in the band, sharing “It\u2019s not my goal to look for a new singer. If it does happen, it has to happen naturally. If we find someone that is a great person and good stylistic fit, I could see trying to do some stuff with somebody. I would never want to feel like we are replacing Chester\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mike also revealed that when he performs Linkin Park songs during his solo sets, he sees it as a celebration of Chester\u00a0\u201cThe thing to know is that for me, I want people to celebrate Chester\u2026 In the demo stages of our songs, I would always sing my demos. So I would sing the original versions of the songs, and then I would play them for the guys and I would play them for Chester, and then he would re-sing stuff. So getting on stage today and singing one of those songs, it just goes back to the first version of the song.”<\/em><\/p>\n
