Duff McKagan<\/a> is the latest Guns N\u2019 Roses member to promise that, following their reunion tour, a new album from the band is in the works.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Trunk Nation Friday, the bassist revealed that he has heard some of Axl Rose-penned music earmarked for Guns N\u2019 Roses\u2019 first LP since 2008\u2019s Chinese Democracy<\/em>, and the first GN\u2019R album with McKagan and Slash since 1993\u2019s The Spaghetti Incident?<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cOh, it\u2019s real, but the fun part and the cool part about Guns N\u2019 Roses is we don\u2019t really talk about it, and what happens next just happens,\u201d McKagan said of the new album (via Ultimate Classic Rock<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s never been that band that there\u2019s a direct schedule of how we do things. I\u2019ve heard some magnificent stuff that Axl has, really cool stuff he\u2019s been working on. So I\u2019m excited about the possibilities with that, of course. I don\u2019t mean to get anybody rabid. Our day will happen when it happens, that\u2019s for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

McKagan is the third GN\u2019R member to tease an in-the-works album, following Slash and guitarist Richard Fortus.<\/p>\n

\u201cAxl, Duff, myself and Richard have all talked about\u2026 there\u2019s material and stuff going on already for a new record,\u201d Slash told an interviewer<\/a> earlier this month. \u201cIt\u2019s just, with Guns N\u2019 Roses, you don\u2019t go, \u2018Oh, there is a plan, and it\u2019s gonna be like this,\u2019 because that\u2019s not how it works. So, basically, the only real answer to give is we\u2019re hoping to put a new record out, and we\u2019ll just see what happens when it happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

In late 2018, after the Not in This Lifetime tour ended, Fortus told a St. Louis newspaper that a new Guns N\u2019 Roses album could arrive \u201cfaster than you think.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Guns N\u2019 Roses\u2019 reunion tour did not feature the debut of any fresh tracks, the first new Axl Rose song in 10 years<\/a> recently appeared in an episode of New Looney Tunes<\/em>.<\/p>\n
