Another version of the album won\u2019t hit the marketplace until July.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>King\u2019s Mouth<\/em> follows the Flaming Lips\u2019 2017 album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-flaming-lips-make-a-miley-assisted-rock-opera-on-oczy-mlody-121860\/\"><em>Oczy Mlody<\/em><\/a>. The record will feature 12 new tracks and the music will be connected by narration provided by the Clash\u2019s Mick Jones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The album is also just one aspect of a much larger project from the Flaming Lips and frontman Wayne Coyne. The music on <em>King\u2019s Mouth<\/em> parallels that in Coyne\u2019s immersive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-news\/flaming-lips-wayne-coyne-plots-art-exhibit-debut-66452\/\">art installation<\/a> of the same name, in which viewers crawl into a large metallic head to experience a music-driven LED light show. The new album will also be accompanied by a book, <em>King\u2019s Mouth: Immerse Heap Trip Fantasy Experience<\/em>, which Coyne wrote and illustrated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe <em>King\u2019s Mouth<\/em> immersive\/child-like qualities are born from the same spark and womb as The Flaming Lips live performances,\u201d Coyne said of the overall project. \u201cThe <em>King\u2019s Mouth<\/em> adventure was made for humans of all sizes, ages, cultures, and religions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Along with prepping their new album, the Flaming Lips continue to release episodes of their <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/sorcerers-orphan-a-song-by-song-history-of-the-flaming-lips\/id1398604916?mt=2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">retrospective podcast<\/a>, <em>The Sorcerer\u2019s Orphan: A Song by Song History of the Flaming Lips<\/em>.
