He\u2019s reissuing it this spring with five bonus cuts for a deluxe edition. The record will be available digitally, on CD and on two, 180-gram vinyl slabs; he\u2019s even souping up one of the double-LP versions with a 3-D lenticular cover. The updated versions are available now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese bonus tracks \u2014&nbsp;\u2018October in New York,\u2019 \u2018Angel Eyes,\u2019 \u2018Call On Me,\u2019 \u2018Could We Be Somethin\u2019 Again,\u2019 and \u2018Blue Jays Fly\u2019 \u2014 are some of my most favorite songs in this 15-song collection,\u201d Perry said in a statement. \u201cI\u2019m so glad they will now be available everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The singer is also teasing the release of a video for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Bb34v_KoMy0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cWe\u2019re Still Here,\u201d<\/a> a song on <em>Traces\u2019<\/em> original track list, for a future release. The record company is calling it his first official music video since Journey\u2019s \u201cWhen You Love a Woman\u201d in 1996, despite the full performance clip on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p><em>Traces<\/em> marked the first release of new music from Perry since 1998\u2019s <em>Greatest Hits + Five Unreleased<\/em> and his first real album since Journey\u2019s <em>Trial by Fire<\/em> in 1996. At the time of <em>Traces\u2019<\/em> release, Perry said that he had fallen out of love with music sometime in the Nineties, but that a woman he had a relationship with encouraged him to return to music. When she was dying of cancer in 2012, she encouraged him to put himself back into the world. \u201cShe said, \u2018If something ever happens to me, I want you to make one promise,&#8217;\u201d Perry told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/steve-perry-talks-comeback-album-traces-journey-dont-stop-believin-733144\/\"><em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>. \u201c\u2009\u2019Promise me you won\u2019t go back into isolation. If you do, I fear this would all be for naught.&#8217;\u201d So he decided to make music again.<\/p>\n<p>Although he\u2019s put out the album and gone on a press tour, Perry has not announced any concerts since releasing the album.
