Last month Waterparks<\/strong> started teasing their fans<\/a> by releasing a piece of tour merch which dropped a few key hints about the band’s new era.<\/p>\n

Along with teasers alluding to the title of the upcoming Waterparks album (‘Friendly Reminder’) and the name of a few new tracks (‘Noise’, ‘Lemonade’ and ‘Glitter Times’), they also directly mentioned frontman Awsten Knight dying his hair red. <\/p>\n

WELL NOW. <\/p>\n

Overnight, that’s exactly what Awsten did. He dyed his hair bright red, and debuted it at their show in Los Angeles:

Is this Awsten’s not-so-subtle way of announcing to us that the new era of Waterparks has begun? <\/p>\n

Quite possibly. Bring it on. <\/p>\n

And just in case you missed it, check out the text from their tour T-shirt below (in all caps, because of course it is):<\/p>\n

EITHER WAY AWSTEN IS STILL PROBLEMATIC AND A BIG POSER. I\u2019M JUST HERE FOR OTTOPARKS. MY WIG FLIED FIRST CLASS WITH NO SEATBELT TO VENUS FOR OTTOPARKS. I HOPE THEY PLAY \u2018CRAVE\u2019. I WONDER IF IT\u2019S GONNA BE OFF THE SET WHEN THE NEW ALBUM COMES OUT. I\u2019LL THROW HANDS IDC.<\/em><\/p>\n

THE TOUR MERCH IS SO CUTE THIS TIME. YAS JUST TAKE MY MONEY. AND YES I AM FULL PREPARED TO YELL AT THEM FOR ONLY PLAYING SIX SONGS DESPITE THE FACE THAT THEY\u2019RE NOT HEADLINING, DON\u2019T CARE. NOT MY PROBLEM. GEOFF IS CUTE.”<\/em><\/p>\n
