The three-day event takes place Friday, May 17th through Sunday, the 19th at the city\u2019s Motor Speedway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Alesso, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/zeds-dead\/\" id=\"auto-tag_zeds-dead\" data-tag=\"zeds-dead\">Zeds Dead<\/a>, Alison Wonderland, Snakehips, Dillon Francis, Illenium, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Jamie Jones, Green Velvet &amp; Claude VonStroke\u2019s Get Real, Gorgon City, CamelPhat, Amelie Lens, Zhu, Skream! and Rusko are also among the 240-plus artists at the EDM festival\u2019s 23rd Las Vegas edition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pasquale Rotella, CEO of promoter Insominac Events, recruited scientist\/TV host Bill Nye to help hype the festival in a trailer showcasing this year\u2019s theme of \u201cKinetic Energy.\u201d After an intro modeled after his popular <em>Science Guy<\/em> children\u2019s show, Nye noted, \u201cIn classical physics we have two kinds of energy. We have kinetic energy, and we have potential energy. Rotella recently announced that EDC Orlando will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cltampa.com\/music\/music-news\/article\/21061556\/electronic-music-festival-edc-orlando-expands-to-three-days-in-2019\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">expand from two to three days<\/a>, though he\u2019s yet to unveil this year\u2019s line-up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In 2018, the festival held events in Las Vegas, Orlando, Mexico City, Tokyo and Shanghai.
