Pink balances the feel-good vibes with a hit of nostalgia as she sings about the thrilling early days of a relationship in a way that suggest the present isn\u2019t holding up so well. \u201cSo can we pretend that we both like the president,\u201d Pink sings with a sly wink, \u201cCan we pretend that you like my fake-ass<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span> shoes\/Can we pretend, cause honestly reality it bores me\/Let\u2019s pretend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Pink co-wrote \u201cCan We Pretend\u201d with Cash Cash and Ryan Tedder, both of whom co-produced the track as well. \u201cCan We Pretend\u201d follows previously released <em>Hurts 2B Human<\/em> cuts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/pink-new-song-walk-me-home-796650\/\">\u201cWalk Me Home\u201d<\/a> and \u201cHustle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>Hurts 2B Human<\/em> follows Pink\u2019s 2017 album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-pink-keeps-energy-high-vitriol-catchy-on-beautiful-trauma-119480\/\"><em>Beautiful Trauma<\/em><\/a>, which at the time marked her first LP in five years.
