The album, <em>The End of Radio<\/em>, will come out on June 14th and will include a single CD of the album.<\/p>\n<p>The first LP contains four songs the band cut in July 1994 on BBC Maida Vale Studio 3\u2019s 24-trakck console, the same year they put out their debut, <em>At Action Park<\/em>. That record\u2019s \u201cCrow\u201d was among the recordings they recorded that day, and they also did three songs that would later appear on 1998\u2019s <em>Terraform<\/em> and 2007\u2019s <em>Excellent Italian Greyhound<\/em>: \u201cCanada,\u201d \u201cDisgrace\u201d and \u201cSpoke.\u201d They mixed them to stereo that day.<\/p>\n<p>They recorded the second disc in 2004 for a \u201clive From Maida Vale\u201d session in front of an audience in Studio 4; it aired that December. The record contains several songs that would later appear on <em>Excellent Italian Greyhound<\/em>, including the song \u201cThe End of Radio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although the band has no upcoming shows booked, the <em>End of Radio<\/em> announcement came with a note that it will \u201ccontinue to play shows or tour at the same sporadic and relaxed pace as always.\u201d It added that people should assume that album releases and touring are unrelated. \u201cThere will be more new material in the future,\u201d the band added.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Albini spoke with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/steve-albini-poker-doc-777902\/\">Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em> about his recent gold-bracelet win at the World Series of Poker. He said at the time that the band was working on new material \u201cat a glacial pace.\u201d As of January, the group had about half a dozen or so songs it intended to record for a new record.
