They dress in green sweaters, pink shirts and tan slacks, their lyrics are predominately made up of Ned Flanders quotes and they proudly claim to be the world\u2019s only \u201cNedal\u201d band.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The group\u2019s commitment to the bit has led to two albums \u2014 the latest&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/okillydokilly.bandcamp.com\/album\/howdilly-twodilly\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Howdilly Twodilly<\/em><\/a> was released in March \u2014 and regular touring, while <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/the-simpsons\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-simpsons\" data-tag=\"the-simpsons\">The Simpsons<\/a><\/em> recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv\/tv-news\/ned-flanders-metal-band-okilly-dokilly-the-simpsons-819321\/\">came calling<\/a> to feature the band\u2019s video for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ned-flanders-inspired-heavy-metal-act-drops-grim-first-video-112597\/\">\u201cWhite Wine Spritzer\u201d<\/a> during the end credits of a recent episode. Now the group has stopped by <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> to explain how anyone can apply the wholesome wisdom of Ned Flanders to their music and life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In the clip, Okilly Dokilly frontman Head Ned explains that to sing like Ned Flanders, one must \u201cchannel everything that is not Ned Flanders \u2014 all the pent-up hatred from never getting your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=naKHerhWSeY\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">power tools back<\/a>, from trips to the post office, from constant encounters with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=H5fzcLhjhWM\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">foot-longs<\/a> \u2014 you take it and you push that with the diaphragm and from there you can scream all the diddilies that you want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Okilly Dokilly guitarist Shred Ned also discusses how he taught himself to play guitar by mimicking the rhythm and syncopation of Ned\u2019s unique way of talking.
