The copyright lawsuit claims that the chant on the <em>Astroworld<\/em> song has a \u201ccadence and sound\u201d that is \u201cvirtually identical and strikingly similar\u201d to the hook on Three 6 Mafia\u2019s 1997 song \u201cTear Da Club Up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The suit seeks in excess of $20 million in damages, per <em>The Blast.<\/em> The suit also cites Travis Scott\u2019s 2019 Grammys performance where he changes the song\u2019s lyrics to \u201ctear the club up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTravis Scott and I have been in touch personally about this matter, he is aware of the situation, as is his label. Everything will be worked out accordingly with proper communication between he, Juicy J, and I,\u201d DJ Paul says in a statement to <em>Rolling Stone.<\/em> \u201cThere is no beef, just business. It\u2019s bothersome that media outlets would choose to put out any information without getting all of their facts straight, which would include speaking with any of us about the situation directly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all have a job to do, I just wish more people would do their jobs professionally,\u201d he continued. \u201cThank you to those who have.
