BBC<\/a> Radio 1\u2019s Live Lounge has become a staple for pop artists to rework their biggest hits \u2014 and some classic covers<\/a> \u2014into stripped-down, if not entirely acoustic, renditions. Carly Rae Jepsen<\/a> appeared on the program on Thursday to take her new single, \u201cNow That I Found You,\u201d and transform its computerized production into a performance with a live band.<\/p>\n

The song, which will appear on Jepsen\u2019s upcoming album Dedicated<\/em> and serves as the theme song for the latest season of Netflix\u2019s Queer Eye<\/em>, became a low-key funk jam in the lounge setting. Mixed in with Jepsen\u2019s vocals and those of her backing singers were a pristine guitar hook and a thumping set of piano chords. It\u2019s a refreshing alternative to the clean-cut production of the studio \u201cNow That I\u2019ve Found You.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later on the show, Jepsen performed her own version of Khalid\u2019s<\/a> \u201cTalk\u201d with a groovy synthesizer and classic drum machine.<\/p>\n
