A new era is dawning for the lads in Like Moths To Flames.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Like Moths To Flames<\/strong> vocalist Chris Roetter has opened up about the future for the band on the BREWtally Speaking Podcast<\/a>, and revealed that they’ve parted ways with Rise Records and are working on new music.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is actually the first time that the band\u2019s been doing adequate demos. Like we would do \u2018oh, man, check out this riff with these shitty drums\u2019. We actually paid our own money, went and did some demos. So we\u2019re actually taking the writing very seriously this time.”<\/em> he shared.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re actually not on Rise anymore. This is the first time we are gonna be doing\u2026 not something on our own, we\u2019re just kinda in-between right now.”<\/em><\/p>\n

He continued “What I\u2019d said about \u2018Dying Things\u2018, about how we feel about the last few releases was just an extension of that, unfortunately, where\u2026 I\u2019m not trying to blow up anybodies spot, but I personally feel like we were backburnered a little bit. We\u2019re an easy band to please, cause we do a lot of things ourselves. So it\u2019s like when we ask for minimal things, that was us getting help. Instead of it helping the band, it was like \u2018welp here\u2019s us giving you aid and that\u2019s it.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

“So I think for us it\u2019s kinda lit a fire to be the best that we can be. Having new members definitely makes it easier. People would be like Moths has had 7-8 members, is it hard? It\u2019s like no, because people keep leaving that made it hard. Then we bring in people who are ambitious about the band, who want to grind and write\u2026 It\u2019s almost like let me prove my worth type of thing. The dudes have gone way beyond that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

If you’re holding your breath for new music though, maybe don’t… While they’re firmly in the demo stage, there’s not yet a plan for release with Chris sharing \u201cSo this time around, we\u2019re not even planned on doing a record, and we already got 7-8 songs written, and 3 of them are professionally recorded. They\u2019ve got production, they\u2019ve got ear candy, they\u2019re properly engineered. Not just us doing them in our garage.<\/em><\/p>\n

So it\u2019s just like kind of us making sure we got the ammunition for when we do start to figure out where the bands gonna go, what we\u2019re gonna do after this tour.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
