Miley Cyrus<\/a> surprised fans at Memphis\u2019 Beale Street Music Festival on Saturday with a 20-minute set where the Tennessee native brought out singer-songwriter Marc Cohn<\/a> for a duet of his 1991 hit \u201cWalking in Memphis.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I came to Memphis, Tennessee in 1990\u2026or even before that looking for inspiration, and I found it,\u201d Cohn told the crowd of the song. He revealed that this was the first time he\u2019d be singing \u201cWalking in Memphis\u201d as a duet.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis song is really about the transformational power of music. I know that\u2019s why you\u2019re here, and that\u2019s what brought me here,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

For her mini-concert, Cyrus also played her Mark Ronson collaboration \u201cNothing Breaks Like A Heart<\/a>\u201d as well as her Bangerz<\/em> hit \u201cWe Can\u2019t Stop\u201d and 2009 single \u201cParty In The U.S.A.\u201d During \u201cParty In The U.S.A.\u201d she was also heard shouting \u201cFree Britney<\/a>\u201d to the crowd.<\/p>\n

Cyrus\u2019 appearance was in partnership with Facebook to launch the social networking platform\u2019s \u201cMore Together\u201d marketing campaign. \u201cIt\u2019s [Beale St Music Festival] such an iconic festival that I think is just a patchwork of different styles and genres, so it couldn\u2019t be a more perfect place for Facebook to launch this More Together campaign; it\u2019s perfect timing,\u201d Cyrus said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Cohn added in a statement, \u201cMemphis is a hallowed city known for its spirit and character, a city that brings together people from all backgrounds, cultures, and generations, finding common ground and coming together to have meaningful experiences. The music that came out of Memphis moved and inspired me, as well as countless others. \u201cWalking in Memphis\u201d is an homage to the healing power of music, and to the rich and soulful heritage of a great American city.\u201d<\/p>\n
