The trio promoted the project \u2014 their first collective effort since the original record \u2014 with a video for Brian\u2019s \u201cLike I Was a Spectator,\u201d featuring his celestial synth drones over rare NASA footage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aacHEVsFLF4?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Apollo<\/em>, available to <a href=\"https:\/\/brianeno.lnk.to\/ApolloExtended\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">preorder<\/a> now, will be out in five formats: a standard 2-CD version, a digital edition, a special digital version with exclusive cover art, a 2-LP 180-gram vinyl edition in a gatefold sleeve and a limited, numbered 2-CD edition with a 24-page full color hardcover book.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Enos and Lanois recorded <em>Apollo: Atmospheres &amp; Soundtracks<\/em> for journalist-filmmaker Al Reinert\u2019s feature documentary <em>For All Mankind<\/em>, which features footage from the Apollo 11 moon landing and commentary from astronauts on that pivotal event. Several tracks from the LP later appeared in commercials and films, including <em>Trainspotting<\/em>, <em>Traffic<\/em>, <em>28 Days Later<\/em>, <em>Drive<\/em> and <em>Love<\/em>; Brian\u2019s \u201cAn Ending (Ascent)\u201d was used during the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Brian Eno and Lanois co-produced <em>Apollo<\/em> at the latter\u2019s studio in Hamilton, Ontario. The duo have since collaborated on numerous projects, most famously producing (either partly or in full) the U2 albums <em>The Unforgettable Fire<\/em>, <em>The Joshua Tree<\/em>, <em>Achtung Baby<\/em>, <em>All That You Can\u2019t Leave Behind<\/em>, <em>How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb<\/em> and <em>No Line on the Horizon<\/em>.
