Vampire Weekend<\/a> delivered a delightfully shaggy take on their new song \u201cSunflower\u201d on Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a><\/em> Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The performance opened with frontman Ezra Koenig and guitarist Brian Jones breezing through the song\u2019s up-and-down guitar licks. But instead of jumping straight to the verse, Vampire Weekend jammed out the intro a bit, deftly using a small horn section to punctuate the song\u2019s loose grooves and kind vibes.<\/p>\n

\u201cSunflower\u201d appears on Vampire Weekend\u2019s latest album, Father of the Bride<\/em><\/a>, and is one of several songs to feature the Internet\u2019s Steve Lacy on guitar. The album arrived last week and marks the band\u2019s first LP since 2013\u2019s Modern Vampires of the City<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Vampire Weekend appeared on The Tonight Show<\/em><\/a> with Haim, where they performed two other FOTB<\/em> tracks, \u201cThis Life\u201d and \u201cJerusalem, New York, Berlin.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vampire Weekend will embark on a North American tour<\/a> in support of Father of the Bride<\/em> June 5th in Toronto, Ontario.<\/p>\n
