These limited-edition collections are expected to sell out fast, so shop early to grab a pair for yourself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/nike\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nike\" data-tag=\"nike\">Nike<\/a> SB Zoom Janoski \u201cViolent Femmes\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Femmes have teamed up with skateboarder and Nike ambassador, Stefan Janoski, on a special-edition shoe that pays tribute to the band and their hit 1994 song, \u201cI\u2019m Nothing,\u201d from the band\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/New-Times-Violent-Femmes\/dp\/B000002HEG\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?keywords=violent+femmes+new+times&amp;qid=1557510832&amp;s=gateway&amp;sr=8-1&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=rollingston07-20&amp;linkId=994d166b4029e433e524b39ede83b1bd&amp;language=en_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">1994 album, \u201cNew Times.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Janoski, who has collaborated with Nike on their popular <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/8972725\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/store.nike.com\/us\/en_us\/pw\/stefan-janoski-shoes\/9ivZoi3?cid=4942550&amp;cp=usns_aff_nike_content&amp;cjevent=3381cb2d734c11e9834d00650a1c0e12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">\u201cNike SB\u201d skateboarding line<\/a> for more than 15 years, has been a life-long fan of Violent Femmes and says he wanted to create a one-of-a-kind shoe inspired by the lyrics from the song.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_834298\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/8972725\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/store.nike.com\/us\/en_us\/pw\/stefan-janoski-shoes\/9ivZoi3?cid=4942550&amp;cp=usns_aff_nike_content&amp;cjevent=3381cb2d734c11e9834d00650a1c0e12\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-834298\" class=\"size-large wp-image-834298\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/violent-femmes-nike-order.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"violent femmes nike stefan janovski\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-834298\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy Nike<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>To wit, the unisex sneaker features the words, \u201cI\u2019m Nothing\u201d in Janoski\u2019s handwriting screen-printed on the tongue, and his artwork is seen on the custom sockliner. The word \u201cViolent\u201d is chain stitched on the left side of the shoe, and on the right shoe is \u201cFemmes\u201d in a custom \u201cTour Yellow\u201d colorway.<\/p>\n<p>After reuniting in 2013, Violent Femmes has toured across the country and the band is currently working on a new album. As part of this Nike collaboration, a new version of \u201cI\u2019m Nothing\u201d will be re-released on the album \u2014 this time featuring Janoski\u2019s vocals. The Nike SB Zoom Janoski \u201cViolent Femmes\u201d retails for $90. It hits stores and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/8972725\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/www.nike.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Nike.com<\/a> this August.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/travis-scott\/\" id=\"auto-tag_travis-scott\" data-tag=\"travis-scott\">Travis Scott<\/a> x Air Jordan 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of Nike, the company\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/8972725\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/www.nike.com\/us\/en_us\/c\/jordan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Jordan Brand<\/a> subsidiary has been riding a wave of nostalgia over the last few years, propelling the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/links\/8972725\/type\/dlg\/https:\/\/www.nike.com\/us\/en_us\/c\/jordan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">classic Air Jordans back into the mainstream<\/a>. This week, Jordan Brand launches a new pair of AJ1 sneakers co-designed by Travis Scott. First <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/travis-scott-jordan-nike-sneakers-shop-online-793486\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">teased on stage during the rapper\u2019s Grammy performance in February<\/a>, the new sneaker is rendered in muted earth tones of brown, black and white, with hand-sketched logos. Adidas Originals x <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/donald-glover\/\" id=\"auto-tag_donald-glover\" data-tag=\"donald-glover\">Donald Glover<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When adidas announced last fall that they would be collaborating with actor and musician Donald Glover (a.k.a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/childish-gambino\/\" id=\"auto-tag_childish-gambino\" data-tag=\"childish-gambino\">Childish Gambino<\/a>), the company said they were looking to Glover to bring his unique voice and \u201cartistic vision\u201d to the venerable footwear and apparel brand. This spring, the first fruits of this partnership have been revealed, with the launch of three sneaker styles along with a series of short films.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_834294\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adidas.com\/us\/donaldglover\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-834294\" class=\"wp-image-834294\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/536758.jpeg?w=1024\" alt=\"adidas donald glover\" width=\"581\" height=\"436\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-834294\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy adidas<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cDonald Glover Presents\u201d reimagines three classic adidas styles, the Nizza, the Continental 80, and the Lacombe, in subtle, tone-on-tone white canvas. Meant to resemble worn-in sneakers, each pair has subtle imperfections (think distressed stitching and frayed edges) to mimic a favorite pair of shoes.<\/p>\n<p>Other details include inside-out golden eyestays, and a custom 3-Stripe mark meant to resemble a hand-painted logo. Each pair of the limited-edition shoes comes in an inside-out adidas Originals box that includes three sets of custom shoelaces designed to fringe over time. The symbol of the collaboration is a moth, itself a symbol of growth and rebirth. The goal: to show how shoes \u2014 like people \u2014 evolve through the years, expressing more personality over time.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vduV-AdU2bo?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Along with the product launch, Glover and adidas premiered a series of short films, starring Glover and actress-comedian Mo\u2019Nique with a cameo by professional skateboarder Na-Kel Smith. According to adidas, the films touch on themes of \u201cdefiance, subversion, and creative expression,\u201d showing that \u201cworn shoes are not merely \u2018dirty;\u2019 they are a reflection of one\u2019s personal experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The shoes retail between $80-$100 and are available on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adidas.com\/us\/donaldglover\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Adidas.com<\/a>. Sanuk x Grateful Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finally, for something completely different, leisure footwear brand Sanuk has launched a collaboration with iconic rock band the Grateful Dead. The collection, which fittingly was announced on 4\/20, includes flip-flops, sandals and casual slip-ons in tie-dye, earthy tones and counterculture-inspired motifs.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_834324\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanuk.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-834324\" class=\"wp-image-834324\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Sanuk_SP19_GD_Launch_Collection_Ad_Final.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"sanuk grateful dead\" width=\"695\" height=\"363\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-834324\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy Sanuk<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Sanuk says partnering with the band was a no-brainer, thanks to their shared values of freedom of expression, individuality and a \u201cfreewheeling spirit to life.\u201d Though the band members were not directly involved in the design of the shoes, they did give their blessing for the collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the Grateful Dead forms new partnerships, the goal is to collaborate with those who have a vision and mission, both culturally and socially, that aligns with that of the band,\u201d says Mark Pinkus, President of Rhino Entertainment, who oversees Grateful Dead Properties. \u201cI feel confident that if Sanuk had existed 50 years ago, parking lots of Dead shows would have been filled with their shoes and sandals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Styles and sizes are available for both men and women.
