The documentary will reportedly screen in more than 300 theaters and fans can sign up for updates \u2013 including theater listenings and ticket information \u2013 on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betweenmeandmymind.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">film\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Directed by Steven Cantor<em>, Between Me and My Mind<\/em> offers an in-depth look at Anastasio\u2019s life, career and creative process. The film chronicles Anastasio as he sets to work on a new side project that will feature some of his most personal songs to date. At the same time, the film follows Anastasio as he begins to prepare for Phish\u2019s always ambitious New Year\u2019s Eve shows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/trey-anastasio-interview-ghosts-of-the-forest-phish-tour-816211\/\">interview with <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, Anastasio spoke about participating in the documentary, noting that the only other time he or Phish have agreed to let a film crew follow them around was Todd Phillips\u2019 2000 movie, <em>Bittersweet Motel<\/em>. But with <em>Between Me and My Mind<\/em>, Anastasio said he was impressed by the filmmakers\u2019 pitch about letting people into the creative process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe let them come and once they started going they were going,\u201d Anastasio said. \u201cThey just were around for a year. I\u2019m a fan of [Steven Cantor]\u2019s work; I like his Sally Mann movie. We became friends because you just start getting used to them being around, and they feel like flies on the wall. They came out on tour and traveled on the bus\u2026. It was a fascinating year that they were around. They were around during the period of Ghosts of the Forest, the \u201cSoul Planet\u201d thing, probably a little teeny bit of the birth of Kasvot V\u00e4xt. It was a good year.
