Kingfish<\/em>, the debut album from Christone \u201cKingfish\u201d Ingram, the 20-year-old blues<\/a> prodigy who made Rolling Stone\u2019<\/em>s Hot List<\/a> last year, is due May 17th, featuring the Buddy Guy duet \u201cFresh Out.\u201d<\/a> And while Ingram has already seen multiple clips of his live performances go viral (and appeared on season two of Netflix\u2019s Luke Cage<\/em>), he\u2019s also made his first real music video, for his hard-grooving track \u201cOutside This Town,\u201d thanks to animator Lyndon Barrois.<\/p>\n

The ingenious stop-motion video, which uses sculptures made out of gum wrappers, was created entirely on iPhones, and took Barrois over six months to finish. \u201cKingfish<\/span> operates at genius level,\u201d Barrois says. \u201cOffstage he\u2019s a sweet 20-year-old kid. Onstage he\u2019s much older. He channels the music.\u201d<\/p>\n
