On Tuesday, Ed Sheeran<\/a> released an interview<\/a> with radio personality and host of The Breakfast Club<\/em>, Charlamagne Tha God<\/a>. The two sat down in Sheeran\u2019s Suffolk home to discuss the musician\u2019s forthcoming No. 6 Collaborations Project<\/em>, out on July 12th.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore I was signed [to a label], I made lots of EPs, and I made an eight-track EP called No. 5 Collaborations Project<\/em> with a load of UK rappers that I was a big fan of at the time,\u201d Sheeran explained in the exclusive interview. Since then, he said, he\u2019d been featured on other musicians\u2019 work but hadn\u2019t brought on collaborators or guest features on his own albums.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was when I [worked with] Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> and Andrea Bocelli, and I had them both on the \u2018Perfect\u2019<\/a> single, that I started a thing on my laptop, \u2018No. 6 Collaborations,’\u201d said Sheeran. \u201cAnd just throughout the year while I was on tour, any time I met anyone that I\u2019d been a fan of, it was the first time I\u2019d been able to be like, \u2018Let\u2019s get in the studio\u2019\u2026For me, this is a compilation album of artists that I am a fan of.\u201d<\/p>\n

No. 6 Collaborations Project<\/em> will feature \u201cI Don\u2019t Care,\u201d<\/a> with Justin Bieber<\/a>, as well as Sheeran\u2019s latest single \u201cCross Me\u201d<\/a> with Chance the Rapper<\/a> and PnB Rock. Sheeran has released the tracklist for the compilation, but has kept the other collaborators a secret.<\/p>\n
