Recorded at the Montreux Pavillon in Switzerland during the 1973 Montreux Jazz Festival, the show notably marked King\u2019s first concert outside the United States. The set list features selections from King\u2019s solo albums <em>Tapestry<\/em> and <em>Writer<\/em>, as well as nearly every song off her then-just-released LP, <em>Fantasy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">King previewed <em>Live at Montreux<\/em> with clips of her performing <em>Tapestry<\/em>\u2019s \u201cIt\u2019s Too Late\u201d and <em>Fantasy<\/em>\u2019s \u201cYou\u2019ve Been Around Too Long.\u201d Performed during the first portion of the set, \u201cIt\u2019s Too Late\u201d finds King delivering the classic break-up tune alone at a piano, while her rendition of \u201cYou\u2019ve Been Around Too Long\u201d comes later in the show after she\u2019s joined on stage by an 11-piece band.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ApacgMtdFLI?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em>Live at Montreux<\/em> is available to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eagle-rock.com\/carole-king-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">pre-order<\/a> and will be released in several formats including a DVD and CD set, a single CD set and vinyl.
