Jay-Z<\/a> will host a listening party for the upcoming posthumous Prince<\/a> LP, Originals<\/em><\/a>, during a June 6th Tidal<\/a> event in Los Angeles. The streaming service will also offer its members the chance to attend celebrations elsewhere in the U.S., along with Spain, Poland, Brazil and other countries. <\/span><\/p>\n

1 Hotel will host events in New York and Miami, and WeWork will coordinate an \u201cIn-Office Prince Day\u201d for New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 15-track Originals<\/em>, which Jay-Z curated with Troy Carter on behalf of the Prince Estate, features 14 previously unreleased recordings from the late musician\u2019s \u201cvault.\u201d The record includes original versions of songs Prince wrote for other artists, including hits (Sheila E.\u2019s \u201cThe Glamorous Life,\u201d the Bangles\u2019 \u201cManic Monday\u201d) and deep cuts (Vanity 6\u2019s \u201cMake-Up,\u201d Kenny Rogers\u2019 \u201cYou\u2019re My Life\u201d); it also features the Prince version of \u201cNothing Compares 2 U,\u201d which his estate issued as a single in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

Originals<\/em> is out exclusively to stream via Tidal on June 7th, with a wide release \u2014 including download, streaming and CD \u2014 following on June 21st via Warner Bros. Deluxe 1-CD\/2-LP and 2-LP editions will round out the schedule on July 19th.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prince previously teamed with Tidal for a run of exclusive releases, including the 2015 albums Hit n Run Phase One<\/em> and Hit n Run Phase Two<\/em>., and personally curated vault selections.<\/span><\/p>\n
