{"id":487156,"date":"2019-06-18T13:56:10","date_gmt":"2019-06-18T19:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=849627"},"modified":"2019-06-18T13:56:10","modified_gmt":"2019-06-18T19:56:10","slug":"pixies-unveil-recording-process-in-its-a-pixies-podcast-trailer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kqzr\/music-news\/pixies-unveil-recording-process-in-its-a-pixies-podcast-trailer\/","title":{"rendered":"Pixies Unveil Recording Process in \u2018It\u2019s a Pixies Podcast\u2019 Trailer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/pixies\/\">Pixies<\/a> set out to record their latest album,&nbsp;<em>Beneath the Eyrie<\/em>, last December, they decided to do something unprecedented: They taped their entire process in the studio, including songwriting, recording and mixing the music for the record, and allowed British music journalist Tony Fletcher to witness the whole thing.<\/p>\n<p>That project got turned into \u201cIt\u2019s a Pixies Podcast.\u201d The 12-episode series dives into the making of <em>Beneath the Eyrie<\/em> and will feature demos, interviews and snippets of downtime in their studio, Dreamland Recordings near Woodstock, NY. Fletcher will narrate the series, which will feature interviews between him and the band members as well as with album producer Tony Dalgety.
