The Raconteurs<\/a> kicked off their two-night stand at The Late Show<\/em> with a performance of \u201cHelp Me Stranger,\u201d off the band\u2019s new LP, Help Us Stranger<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The performance opened with a short remake of the intro to the song\u2019s brooding music video<\/a>, with Stephen Colbert<\/a> mouthing the lyrics to a lonesome country tune while cast in green light. After the clip glitched, the camera jumped to the Raconteurs, who breezed through \u201cHelp Me Stranger\u201d as the camera panned around them, occasionally capturing them inside a prop frame hanging in front of the stage.<\/p>\n

The Raconteurs will perform another song on The Late Show<\/em> tonight, June 21st, to celebrate the release of Help Us Stranger<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Help Us Stranger<\/em> marks the Raconteurs\u2019 first LP since 2008\u2019s Consolers of the Lonely<\/em><\/a>. The band will embark on their first North American tour<\/a> in eight years this summer, with a run that kicks off July 12th in Detroit, Michigan and wraps October 18th in St. Louis, Missouri.<\/p>\n
