DJ Khaled<\/a> and Meek Mill<\/a> performed their new song \u201cWeather the Storm\u201d<\/a> in an actual cloud of fog at the 2019 BET Awards<\/a> on Sunday. The duo, stationed atop a massive platform emblazoned with the former\u2019s \u201cWe the Best\u201d slogan, made good use of the weather theme: A backdrop flashed lightning strikes and ominous clouds as Mill unfurled his flurrying rhymes.<\/p>\n

After that dizzying verse, he and Khaled descended the platform, with the latter giving a quick shoutout to Rihanna<\/a>, who was in attendance. The pair were joined by Jeremih<\/a> and Lil Baby<\/a> for \u201cYou Stay,\u201d which (along with \u201cWeather the Storm\u201d) appears on Khaled\u2019s 11th LP, the May-issued Father of Asahd<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The DJ-producer\u2019s latest album earned a polarized response: Despite lukewarm reviews,<\/a> it debuted at Number Two on the Billboard 200 behind Tyler, the Creator\u2019s<\/a> IGOR<\/em>. In May, Khaled teamed with Will Smith for a new hip-hop version<\/a> of \u201cFriend Like Me\u201d from Disney\u2019s live-action remake of Aladdin<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
