Paul McCartney<\/a> brought out surprise guest Steven Tyler<\/a> to perform the Beatles\u2019 \u201cHelter Skelter\u201d Friday at his concert in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a special guest for you: Mr. Steven Tyler,\u201d McCartney told the T-Mobile Arena crowd during the encore as the Aerosmith singer came onstage armed with his scarf-covered microphone stand. The singers then launched into \u201cHelter Skelter,\u201d with the two Rock Hall legends deftly switching off lines. McCartney and Tyler also improvised an outro that saw the pair bouncing off each other vocally.<\/p>\n

Aerosmith \u2013 who are currently in the midst of their Deuces Are Wild Las Vegas residency<\/a> \u2013 often covered the \u201cWhite Album\u201d classic during their concerts in the late Seventies and, after a decades-long hiatus, resumed performing \u201cHelter Skelter\u201d at their early 2000s shows; Tyler and company last played the track live in 2006<\/a>. A studio version<\/a> of the Aerosmith\u2019s cover, recorded during the Toys in the Attic<\/em> session, appeared on the Pandora\u2019s Box<\/em> compilation in 1991.<\/p>\n

Tyler \u2013 previously who performed a Beatles medley during McCartney\u2019s Kennedy Center Honors celebration<\/a> in 2010 \u2013 also documented the performance as well as his backstage experience at the McCartney concert on his Instagram:<\/p>\n
