The sequel to 2007\u2019s ambient album, <em>Digital Shades Vol. 1<\/em>, the new LP will be released on September 20th via Mute and is available for <a href=\"http:\/\/m83.it\/DSVIIWe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">pre-order<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The album, which follows 2016\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/junk-205921\/\"><em>Junk<\/em><\/a>, is primarily influenced by video game music. \u201cIt felt so refreshing to play all of these old school games again,\u201d frontman Anthony Gonzalez wrote on the <a href=\"http:\/\/ilovem83.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">band\u2019s website<\/a>. \u201cThere is something so na\u00efve and touching about them. It\u2019s simple and imperfect.
