Backed by American flag imagery on the video screens, Bennett stood behind a presidential podium to unleash the fast-talking, politically-inspired track. \u201cIf you a Trump supporter, how you talkin\u2019 to me?\u201d he spits. \u201cHow you arguin\u2019 me, tryna bargain with me?\/It ain\u2019t my traits to be a traitor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the clip, femdot. gets a matching podium as the pair rap about the state of America today, including the president, race, class and differing political views. Bennett, who is the younger brother of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/chance-the-rapper\/\" id=\"auto-tag_chance-the-rapper\" data-tag=\"chance-the-rapper\">Chance the Rapper<\/a>, also touches on Chicago specifically, rapping, \u201cChicago n-ggas dyin\u2019 every day in every way\/How you think the guns got in our city?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSinging the Blues\u201d comes off the Chicago rapper\u2019s recent EP <em>The American Reject<\/em>, which dropped in May. It followed last year\u2019s EP Be Yourself, which dealt with similar issues of race and class, as well as the rapper\u2019s bisexuality. Bennett <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/taylor-bennett-be-yourself-interview-698788\/\">told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> that his music is about helping bring people together to face these issues head on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConversation is about spreading education but we miss out on those conversations when we let these systematic oppressions like racism, homophobia or economic oppression take hold,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have to communicate. I believe that all these tyrants and bad things in the world are there to stop these conversations.
