The Raconteurs<\/a> took the stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a> to offer up two of their new tracks, \u201cSomedays (I Don\u2019t Feel Like Trying)\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Bother Me.\u201d Both songs come from the rock band\u2019s recent album Help Us Stranger<\/em>, which dropped in June.<\/p>\n

The musicians get particularly raucous on \u201cDon\u2019t Bother Me,\u201d a guitar-driven garage rock number with a raw, energized vibe. \u201cSomedays (I Don\u2019t Feel Like Trying)\u201d is more low-key, with Jack White<\/a> taking a less impassioned approach to the vocals.<\/p>\n

Help Us Stranger<\/em> is The Raconteurs\u2019 third album, a long-anticipated follow-up to the group\u2019s 2008 effort Consolers of the Lonely<\/em>. The group, which also includes Brendan Benson, Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence, didn\u2019t make the new album with any specific intention.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one said, \u2018Hey, we\u2019re making a new album, we\u2019re going on tour,’\u201d White recently told Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe just thought, \u2018Let\u2019s just get together and we\u2019ll work out a song, maybe a couple, and see what happens.\u2019 And everyone was just so energetic, it was really inspiring. I mean, we had like 30 songs we were working on intensely and we ended up having to say, \u2018Look, we got to settle on a dozen songs here. Because we\u2019ll just keep writing, it\u2019s going so well.\u2019 I don\u2019t know how long it all took to get. I can\u2019t really say. Probably weeks, at the end of the day. I can\u2019t really remember.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band is currently on tour<\/a> in North America, with two hometown stops at Nashville\u2019s Ryman Auditorium in August. The trek wraps October 18th in St. Louis at The Pageant.<\/p>\n
