In the clip, Rubin compliments Miller on his turn to more \u201csong-y, personal\u201d tracks, prompting Miller to reply, \u201cIt\u2019s been an interesting journey for me to realize that the goal here is just to be as much me as possible\u2026 You make this super personal ass, stripped back song where there\u2019s no bells and whistles, and the only thing that\u2019s carrying this song is you \u2014 it\u2019s just so scary!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThat\u2019s the best,\u201d Rubin responds with a grin. \u201cIf you think about it, your favorite records do that \u2014 the ones you like that other people make, that\u2019s the shit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Miller will appear in the third episode of <em>Shangri-La<\/em>, which will air tonight, July 26th, on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/showtime\/\" id=\"auto-tag_showtime\" data-tag=\"showtime\">Showtime<\/a> at 9 p.m. ET\/PT.
